I rebuilt my website with AI in about 1-2 hours….
**It’s just the first draft but I’m fairly proud of it.
BACKSTORY: For the month of June, I’m documenting my experience vibe coding — using AI tools to design and build a brand new website from scratch. No prior design experience required. Just curiosity, the right prompts, and a willingness to experiment.
The Starting Point
My old website, ArvellCraig.com, had been around for a while. It wasn’t broken, but it was dated. More importantly, I wanted to understand what was actually possible with today’s AI tools before recommending anything to clients.
The first question I had to answer: do I need a new platform? Tools like Lovable, Replit, and others have been getting a lot of buzz. Or could I just work with what I already had — WordPress?
After week one, I’ve got good news on that front.
What I Built
The new site is live. It includes a speaking page, an about page with my official bio and headshots, and a connection to my Substack — where I’ve been publishing blog content for 15 years. That content library alone could be a serious SEO asset once I clean up the tags and dig into GEO optimization.
Is it perfect? No. But as a first draft built almost entirely with AI, I’m genuinely happy with where it landed.

What’s Coming
The series continues every Wednesday through the end of June. I’m planning to explore additional platforms — High Level, Substack, Beehive — and get into SEO and GEO strategy as it relates to AI-assisted content.
